The Waegwoltic Club has four splendid outdoor saltwater swimming pools. Three of our pools are heated from May – October with a temperature range of 73-85 degrees Fahrenheit.  All of our pools are enjoyed by adults, families, seniors and competitive swimmers alike. With a comprehensive and inclusive schedule we aim to provide the best balance of aquatics programming and free swimming all season long in Halifax.

The Waeg’s aquatic program is one of the largest in the Maritimes. It includes programs and swimming lessons for all ages, ranging from Red Cross Swim Kids & Pre-School programming to advanced lessons and adult stroke improvement. Our Main Pool, commonly referred to as the “Big Pool,” is 12 feet at the deep end, and equipped with a spring diving board. In the shallow end of the pool there are two twenty-five meter lanes reserved for swimming lengths and a generous open area for families and adults to enjoy. The Bloomingdale and The Little Lauderdale ("Laudie") are also heated, and reach temperatures in the high eighties during the summer.

The Lido is our biggest swimming pool, located directly beside Halifax's Northwest Arm.  With a shallow sectioned off area perfect for toddlers, the lido provides a refreshing alternative for the whole family. Whether splashing down the slide, springing off the diving board, or playing in the adjacent sandy pit, The Lido provides endless summer fun for the whole family.
